Hi guys. I woke up early this morning to find that my incubator was sitting at 104 degrees. I'm guessing that it was that warm for about 6 hours or so.

How likely is it that my eggs are cooked? I am so upset; this is my first batch & I was really looking forward to them.

That happened to me too just the other day - my first hatch also. I'm going to let them go and hope for the best. I noticed one egg was dried up but the others seem ok. Day 15 of 17 for button quail. Good luck with yours!

Try not to worry too much. I've had wild swings...low and high...even to 104 and I have kicking chicks in all but 3 eggs. One we accidentaly cracked early on...1 was clear. All others are good. Day 18 tomorrow!!

I will say that temps will go up during the night due to the ambient air temp. I get up every night at least once during the night and check the temp....make adjustments, etc.

I had my temp go up to 110. I don't know for how long anymore but it was over night, and I still had a 50% hatch. I was one mean hen that day. I was so upset my DH told me to leave the house. LOL Good luck and don't worry. Yea right.

Is it a still air?
