Hello!
I have baby chicks in the incubator currently and I am just waiting to get a brooder for them so that they can go in there soon.
I've been seeing a lot of weird fuzz in my incubator. It's the length of chick down and I am expecting that that is what it is. But why would baby chicks lose their down feathers? It is all over the incubator and some of it is gray/black and some of it is whitish, which are the colors of my chicks.
Has this ever happened to you?? Is it normal?

Thanks!

Yup, we have two Brinsea 56EXs and to clean them thoroughly, we need to take the two parts of the lid apart. I use a can of Dust Off to get a lot of it in-between cleanings but have to take it outside to do that.
