Hey there! I’m going to be attempting my first hatch sometime in March! I’ll be using a Harris Farms NR360 and will be hatching a dozen shipped eggs from a small NPIP certified farm. I’m doing a BUNCH of research online about incubation, but I am finding some holes in my knowledge. I will list my current questions here and add as I come up with more!
1. Air pocket... I've seen a lot of incubator pictures, some with markings where the air pocket is, some without. Is this necessary? Does the air pocket need to be positioned a certain way heading into lockdown?
2. Calibrating thermometer/hygrometer... I plan to have an additional device inside the incubator to help monitor theses levels, but how do I get everything calibrated? Is there a special tool I need to get?
