My incubator lost electricity last night without my knowledge. I have gotten the temp back up. Is there a chance the eggs are still viable?

what day are you on and low did the temp go and approximately how long? Yes the is a good possibility they are still viable.

We lost power due to an ice storm last month. I had a battery back-up for my incubator which also failed

Any hoo my eggs got down to about 75 degrees on day 18 before the pwer came back on about 4 hours later. I figured they were all lost, but 3 days later I got 6 chicks out of the 12 eggs. I think it probably depends on what day you are on, and I have a feeling that it probably hurts more the earlier you are in the incubation process.

Do you know how long the power was out and what the temp was at it's lowest point ??

Last year during incubating I had a power outage that lasted several days. I wrapped the bator in blankets and positioned it beside the woodstove as close as was safe. My temps were still very low but I did have a few that managed to survive and hatch successfully the following week.

Good luck !!

I am guessing the temp got down to about 70 degrees for roughly 9 hours. Thanks
