Hello folks,
My Chocolate Orpington cockerel is just over 18 weeks old, he was hatched and raised with the other 5 chickens (1 rooster and 4 pullets). He is still super mellow, does not crow, does not harass hens, does not fight or bully; is not a lap chicken, but will always follow me around and be near me. He gets on with everyone. His sibling rooster (Black Rock) is a full blown teenage hormone filled nightmare atm in comparison.
Is it normal for orpington' roosters to retain their calmness for...ever? Or is he yet to mature?
