Incubator Help!

OK. That's not a lot to go on.

I'll throw out a few things that cause temps to go down. If you added cold water to raise humidity or your just set your eggs in incubator it will take hours for the temp to come back up and stabilize. Anything you do needs time to get back to normal. The biggest thing is to refrain from adjusting the thermostat unless it's needed. You'll chase temp all over the place if you start doing that. small adjustments and wait for it to come to temp. Hours. The other thing that can lead to thinking your loosing temp is if you've a sensitive thermometer like a digital oral. They read temp so fast and accurately the normal temperature swing in incubator will mislead you. Temp swings can be drastic. The more eggs or other thermal mass in incubator (water bottles, stones or whatever mass to hold heat) the less of a swing from high to low you'll read from heating element turning on and off. The true temp is the average of the high and low swing. It can be a 3 or more degree swing when empty and tighten up to a 1 degree F if three dozen eggs in there.
