Hi all, I purchased a small incubator from take a lot that holds 9 eggs, as I don't have a whole lot of chickens YET. Ha ha.
However, I have not used it, as I'm waiting to see around 10 eggs ( now 6) to see if she will sit on them till the end this time. If not , I have a backup BUT I don't know where to put or how much water in the incubator when it comes to that... maybe doesn't take water and automatically does the whole humidity thing ? It only came with a paper stating where it came from and purpose, no instructions. I sent them an email but no responses. Thanks

Is it the hole right at the front of the photo in the white part? Can the tray the eggs sit in come out?

Doing a dry hatch can work just fine too, you just have to see what the humidity sits at normally with it turned on. Make sure you have an accurate thermometer and hydrometer rather than relying on the incubator’s built in functions. They are usually off somewhat in cheap incubators.

The plastic protecting comes out which i see now but nothing else . The gap in the front of the machine might be for water . There is a small hole of which water will come out if too much is put in. I'll try search the model and see what it sais . Thanks

When you turn on the incubator, does it show temperature AND humidity? Does the tray that holds the eggs come out? Also, how does it turn the eggs?
If the tray does not come out, I would try putting the water in that area at the front. If the tray comes out and there aren't any wires, I would put the water there. I would see if you can monitor humidity with the incubator. If not, I suggest buying a small GOVEE hydrometer. It uses an app so you can monitor humidty and temperature.

Thanks I Googled the model number, where the eggs get placed there are spaces between to put small amounts of water and then the gap in front can wet sponge and place it in there. Need to manually turn the eggs 3 times a day. It has a built in temp of 38deg and it has a button that puts a light on to candle the eggs in rhe machine. Which is nice. Thanks atleast I have a bit more knowledge now. No trays come out at all of this one
