incubator in dark room?

Does my incubator (brinsea eco 20) need to be in a dark room? I have it out of direct sunlight in my bedroom. But its sunny overall in the room.

Steady and even temps in the room where you have it are more important than whether the room is lighted or dark.

I wondered that too but I have mine in my basement office. It has a large window and gets pretty bright during the day but I put it across the room from the window and the temp hasn't fluctuated one bit!!

Direct sun rays are bad an will heat it up but just a lit room is fine.

Well I don't know if it's huge. It is in comparison to my old house. They are about 3 foot by 5 foot so pretty big!!
