I live in an old house too. VERY poor results in early summer trying to hatch stuff. I was thinking about putting the incubator on the porch outside in a not-plugged in fridge, but putting a small something in the bottom of the door to let air in, and again at the top of the door to let air out. I would think a half inch copper tube sort of smashed a bit might do it. I guess the only way to know is to try. I got some killer eggs piling up, dark DARK copper black marans eggs, four serama eggs from my freind, some white silky eggs and some mottled black split to mille fleur. Time to get incubating!
