"Lockdown is the last three days of incubation when you should not turn the eggs, increase the humidity, and wait for your chicks to hatch. Although not everyone is as strict on lockdown and I'm one of those and have never had a problem. " (haven't learn't how to copy it from another post) any suggestions?
I too have read the term "Lock down", Why exactly do you do it?,
Is it just a case of shut the door and leave them to it, cos they know what they are doing and we don't need to interfer (most of the time anyway) or is there some other reason?
and
I too was told to use a pencil, and i do, but when you think about it, the egg is very porous so its sucking in Lead, and a Sharpie pen, what chemicals are used in that? I think we are all in a no win situation, which is the best evil
also
"Humidity is supposed to be between 60-75" Again from what i can gather the humidity should be around this for the hatching, but can someone please tell me what the humidity should be for a forced fan incubator during incubation before hatching? Please.
I would be most grateful for some clarification
