Incubator noise is driving me insane!!

Hi! So, it's the fan running you are hearing?
Check and make sure your fan opening isn't blocked (my fan motor got loud one time and it was just the teeny opening was blocked with dust --- go figure, dust in my house)
None of my electronic thermostats or elements make any sound at all.
I can't imagine that a Hovabator is that much different (except slightly shape styrofoam) from Little Giant.

My hovabator 1588 (no turner) makes the same noise and it drives me batty, too! I have it in a closet, but it still keeps me awake. I just grin and bear it. I'm sure when the hatch is done, it will be too quiet so I'll have to get more eggs and start over again.

Other than moving it to a different room, I can't think of any suggestions or advice. We can't move our bator because we have very curious two-footed munchkins who get into everything!

I never thought of putting it in the closet... I've got one 5 feet away, I could run an extension cord inside and keep it on top of the dresser. If I get the courage to move it there, I might do it. Moving the 'bator sounds risky!​

The fans work very well in these units. The problem is nothing more than isolation grommets which do not exist for them and this makes the lid a soundboard for the fan. You can try to find or make grommets or just replace the fan with one from an old desktop pc that is not used/working anymore. The fans are 12 volts and should work just fine for circulating the air and do not need any more than a single zip tie to secure them to the protecting grid. Of course, this is modification and voids any warranty.it also means you have to figure out how to rewire all this or have someone do it for you.
