Well, I have a few more breeds of chickens I wanted. Last week I received an order of chicks from McMurray Hatchery. Knowing my husband said after that order I can not hatch or order more chicks I set the stage by telling him some of the chicks are deformed so they will have to be put down (I actually only lost one but he doesn't know that). So he has agreed I can call the hatchery to get replacement chicks for those that had to be put down. Walla ... I can now get those chicks I want and the eggs that in our 2 incubators will hatch out around the same time I get the new chicks. . . . . Later towards the end of summer I can hatch more eggs.
Trust me, my husband had a cow when I purchased the 3 rd incubator. I needed the 3rd one at the time but for now I only have 2 of them going. I remind him whenever he complains that it was his idea for us to get chickens not mine ..
