Hello, all! I hope everyone is good today.

So:
I am hatching a chick for my sisters and we're doing it together. The problem is that the incubator is odd. We've had chick eggs die in it before for no reason. The humidity won't go above 52% and I've put a lot of water in it. The temperature is also a tad bit screwy. Constantly changing, we started it yesterday. The incubator is a Little Giant brand and it has an egg turner. Any advice?

I would put a an additional hydrometer and thermometer in there to regulate the true temp and humidity. Eggs shouldn't be set until the incubator temp and humidity is regulated. Only one egg? I would definitely see if you can set at least 3 or 4, if possible. Chicks thrive in a flock. Singletons get lonely and need the comfort of companions. Best of luck!!!!

Yeah, we set one because it will be a house chicken. We'll raise him ourselves, out old one slept in our beds as chick. Wrapped in a towel. Good idea, I will set a thermometer and try to get a hydrometer.
