Incubator Question...

Hey All!

I just got a FREE incubator with an egg turner in it and I was wondering how I should test it to make sure it's gonna work? I don't have eggs just yet but I'd like to figure out whether or not it'll actually work and hatch out eggs!!

Should I just throw a thermometer in it and see if it maintains temperature??

You can get a combo hygrometer/thermometer at Wal-Mart or Radio Shak. Put that in and see how it does.

OK, what should the humidity be?? I THINK it has a pan under it to hold water... I'd have to check.
