Incubator questions

Absolutely awesome. I'm so excited about this that it's not even funny. I was so excited when my homemade bator was up and had eggs actually developing, but I think I'm going to be crushed when they don't hatch in a few days.

That's great that I can do different racks at the same time, then I can do silkie eggs, coturnix and buttons all in the same go, as long as I plan them properly, or use the LG for a hatcher. *Squee* I'm too excited! And, our tax refunds should be here by next Friday, and I'm "allowed" to use some of it for an incubator. I hope my buttons start to lay soon so that I can start playing with their eggs and staggered hatches on them too. And, yes, I'm going all out, I'm getting the one with a turner and a fan.

The more automated it is, the less likely I am to mess something up, lol.

i have gqf quail racks in my lg turner along with the chicken racks... no movement issues and the turning arms are close enough to the same that they dont impede each others movements... about 1 mm longer

I've had both the LG and Hova turners. (And both bators) My LG turner (new version and old one) will fit in a Hovabator, but I never tried to put the Hova turner in the LG..if that makes sense

If you have the funds, I'd highly recommend the Hovabator Genesis 1588 w/ autoturner (and make sure you have the chicken & quail racks...and while your at it, get the bigger ones for ducks/geese too...cuz you know you'll eventually graduate up to them

) I have 2 of the Genesis's and one Hova 1602 still air (back-up, hatcher, parts etc) I also had an LG that actually worked really well, but I sold it to Redhen. (I only sold it over the Hova 1602 'cuz the 1602 base could be used with my other 2 bators)

Whatever you get, you'll have to "learn" it's good and bad points. Have fun!

I think I just might go with the 1588. They sound to be more idiot-proof than the others, lol.
