I am looking for an incubator for chickens. I saw this incubator (HovaBator Advanced Egg Incubator Combo Kit: Includes Incubator, Fan Kit, Egg Turner, Digital Thermometer/Hygrometer) and it seems to have everything I need, but I cannot find any reviews. Has anyone used this incubator and if so, how is it?

Also I noticed that some incubators come with a 12 volt power supply. What does this mean and is there any significance in getting this?

Thank you very much!

Particularly if it is fan-drive Hovabator generally makes good equipment. The more stable in terms of air-temperature and humidity in the room you keep it in the better it will work. Follow the directions that come with the box and you should do OK.

Thank you for responding! I've been doing more research and decided on the Hovabater Genesis 1588 Incubator Combo Kit. Just got through hatching some chicken eggs and we only got 2 out of 20. We were using a really, really, really old incubator (couldn't get the temperature and the humidity stable). I have been wanting to incubate and hatch and raise chickens for awhile now and after reading the threads/posts on here I got super excited about doing it! And especially after seeing the two chicks I have now growing and thriving, I can't wait for the new incubator to arrive in a couple of days!!
