Incubator smells funny

I've got eggs in my incubator and when I opened the lid to add water it had a funny odor. Not like rotten egg smell, just unpleasant.

You should probably do a smell test on each and every egg before you have a exploding mess. Make sure you remove it.

Incubating eggs does have a little bit of a scent, though if the room you are doing it is is well ventilated it shouldn’t really travel or linger. If what your smelling is strong, check for rotten eggs.

Yep, I had an egg that had a pretty good size crack in it and you could see the inside was all green!
I removed it and the bad smell is gone and it only has the usual weird smell
