incubator smells

Hi, welcome to BYC!

If your incubator smells of rotten eggs, I suggest you check each egg and the ones that smell rotten, toss them
Hope that helps!

Hi :welcome

Glad you could join the flock! X2 on the above check your eggs as soon as possible, any smelly ones need to be removed asap as they could explode in the incubator and contaminate your good eggs.

Good luck with your incubation, be sure to ask any other questions you may have. Everyone here to help and very friendly. Enjoy BYC :frow

Hi and welcome to our flock!

So glad you could join our community! I would suspect rotten eggs, too. My incubator doesn't usually smell until the chicks have hatched.

I hope the incubation goes well!

Remove any stinky, cracked & leaking eggs carefully - they are called STINK EGGS for a reason and if they explode all over - you'll never forget them Carefully get them into plastic bags and close tightly. You don't want the bacteria all over any good eggs, your incubator or you.

thanks Im going to try again next week I'm waiting on eggs to hatch next week under my broody hen today was supposed to be hatch day oh well
any tips on after hatching from a broody hen
