I just bought a still air incubator. I have 2 thermometers (just to be sure). Both were staying steady at 100 degrees for 4 or 5 days before I set the eggs(2.5 dozen). Naturally the temp dropped - I assumed till the eggs were brought up to the right temp and then it would stabilize its self back to 100 degrees. So far, it's been 2 full days and the temp is staying at 98. I do not want to change the temp dial, as I'm afraid it will fluctuate too much.
Is it ok to leave them set at 98? Why has it not returned to 100?
I appreciate anyone's advice/help. Thank you.

I know it's hard to adjust some of these bators, especially the older LGs, but I would also ever so slightly hit it up. Just do it when you are going to be there for an hour to keep an eye on the bator in case it does jump more. Leaving at 98 can cause a slight delay in hatch time.
