Incubator temperature question

I am in the process of stabilizing my homemade incubator. My question is the temp inside my fake egg should be the stable temp at 100 degrees?
Not the temp inside the bator or ambient temp, this temp fluctuates 5 degrees at this time?

The question is;

Should my temp in the egg have to be stable at 100 degrees?

Or should the temp in the incubator be stable, because my fluctuates 5 degrees.

i have my bator at 100* not sure about the egg setting. My thermator says 100. It goes down maybe to 98 when i open but stays at 100* what's the humidity?

Temperature in the incubator should be 99.5 degrees F to 100 degrees F (37.5 degrees C). If the temperature deviates more than degree from 100 degrees F, a poor hatch is likely. Temperature should be checked at least twice a day.

I am just having a difficult time in keeping the temp stable by +- 1 degree in a homemade incubator. Any help would be great.

52 percent and stable.

The air inside the incubator rises to 104 but drops to 98 prior to water heater thermostat kicking the light bulb on.

I don't think you really want an opinion that is "purely a guess", BUT, IF I were to guess, I would say:

It's the temperature of your "fake egg" that matters.

You might consider moving the "fake egg" around to different spots in the incubator where you expect to put eggs. See if the temperature fluctuates when you do that. IF it doesn't fluctuate much (over time) at each selected position, THEN.....I would conclude that your temperature will be correct and sufficient for your intended purposes.

hummm, interesting! I heard 50 ish is high, only to get to 50-60 when in lockdown. Dry incubating, really have no clue! My bator does stay at 100 and only once got to 98. Usually 99 when opened. Keep us posted!
