I left it as it was with the temperature up for the remainder. I put it into lock down on day 18 and had a final check and all 7 looked as they should for day 18.
I put the eggs in at 8am on a Wednesday morning - so I expected them to hatch on a Wednesday but all 7 hatched on Tuesday between 7am and 4pm.
So I would make that day 20. However they were all strong and zipped well and hatched easily. I managed to watch a few hatch and they went from just having a pip, to fully zipping in 10 minutes and then about 3 minutes more to push out.
As I say all 7 viable chicks hatched so I'm quite impressed, it did look like 9 were fertile though, so 7 out of 9 viable.
I have read that if it is a bit too warm that they can hatch quicker, but they all seem to be very healthy.
So now I'm unsure if I should continue to leave it slightly warmer as it is one of my best hatches or if I should lower it slightly.
