Incubator temperature?

I have an LG w/turner that I have added a fan to. My problem is the temperature I can get to 98.4 and when I try to turn it up in the least bit it jumps to 101.5. Is 98.4 okay or should I keep messing with it? I have eggs in it on day 5 now and I am scared to mess with it too much. Thanks

Take a soda bottle cap; cut an X in the top. Slip it over the temperature control knob. Gives you loads more control over how far you turn!
