Incubator temperature

Maybe set the temp down a little and rotate the eggs inside to outside once a day?

I think I would personally add a small fan to blow the heat around and even it out.

Hmm. I was under the assumption it was not possible to lower the temperature with a couple buttons because of the light. If that is possible, just lower the temperature that way..

Do like a hen does, move the eggs around the incubator. Even with the auto turner and fan, I move them from corners to middle, from left to front and right to back when I candle. My 17 turkey eggs all hatched within 6 hours of each other because even though the temps varied, they spent about the same amount of time in each temperature zone.

My foam bators only read that cold in the very corners. It sounds like you should probably lower the temp a bit, though, as the temp at the top of the eggs should be no more than 101.5 still air. Temp above the eggs can be warmer, below can be cooler.

A $4 12v computer fan, driven by an old cell phone charger. Distribute the heat more evenly throughout the incubator.

Use cut pieces of rubber tubing or fat rubber grommets from the hardware store to use as "stand offs" for the fan, holding it away from the surface 3/8" allowing air to circulate.

Glue these plastic hollow wall anchors into the styrofoam as a way of screwing down the fan. Or, just put 1/8" by 1 1/2" long machine screws through the styrofoam and use an oversized washer and nut to "bolt" the fan and grommets to the styrofoam case.

Any old cell phone charger or similar will drive the fan. Snip the end off and just twist the pair of wires of the computer fan lead wires. Done.

Here's a pic of my incubator currently... The one that has been fluctuating a little bit

If the water container is plastic, try a glass canning jar or bowl and put it in front of the bulb, then put the eggs on the far side. This will help buffer the heat and keep the eggs closest to the lamp from baking.

You could try a slightly lower wattage bulb, or fit up a dimmer switch to turn it down a little.

Yeah I've just been trying to rotate them every time I turn them. Also I turned the temp down a tiny bit so that it wouldn't go over 102. Thanks.
