Incubator Trouble

If your thermometer checks out then it's good... you don't "need" another one. I have a bunch because I like to check my Temps from top to bottom in my cabinet incubator and I use them to check my brooders too. But out of all the ones I've used the thermopro is my favorite....

I have put thermometers on each tray too to check the temperatures at the different levels of my cabinet. I had it in our apartment but we had company so I had to move it out into the garage. Many years ago I converted it from a wafer thermostat to an electronic and I have a digital thermometer mounted on the side of the incubator.

Yeah, both mine have electronic thermostats with back up wafers.... I'm going to buy an acrylic door for my other one and use it as a hatcher someday.... the acrylic door is where it's at

I will still buy a few digital thermometers
Thanks you have a good setup

Two of my eggs hatched. And one died 2-3 days before hatch day. And another one died 4-5 days before hatch. Very bummed. The two that made it were a leg horn and a Americana. The leg horn made me worried because the belly button was a little black. But it seems to have healed up. And the americana is fine. I had seven eggs that I had in the incubator. I am starting another batch in a few days. I looked at the egg Turner and it looks like it is not doing it's job. So I will leave the egg Turner in because it turns the eggs twice a day, but I am going to turn my eggs every morning and night. So they will turn 4 times a day. And if I am gone for a few days, there will still be move ment. If you have any suggestions on what to do with my next batch, I will take them. Maybe my next batch will be better. Still very number of this next batch does not do good i am going to stop incubating eggs for this year.

I am testing a theory, in my records no egg placed in the hovabator that is less than 7 days old has ever hatched, they all died in the last day or so. I am on day 21, no fresh eggs went in, all are at least 7 days old when heat was applied. Each egg has a date on it.
