Incubator with resistance wire

I use a 250 watt heat bulb on a dimmer fixture so I can adjust the power going to the bulb depending on the temperature I need. Right now I just have it working a medium sized Rubbermaid bin but I imagine it could handle a cabinet incubator. It’s a very efficient system as I rarely have to ever turn the timer past one fifth of it full power. I have a small desk fan runing in the incubator as well to ensure good air circulation and to prevent hot/cold spots.

I have never used resistance wire but I have used a big dimmable heat bulb and a desk fan to make a rather large incubator. In my opinion, the heat source does not really matter so long as you have ample airflow to circulate the heat. if you are going the way of using wire to create a completely custom incubator I think it would be cool if you could have a separate wire run through a water reservoir and come on and off to regulate the humidity. I must state that I do not know what sort of risks or safety concerns that poses.
