i have a 7 month old hova bator 1602 that i have hatched out several hatches. now i cant get it to heat higher than 96 degress. please help. i changed the wafer with one out of another bator but not any better. thermostat is wide open. cycles on and off but wont heat any higher. even tried another thermometer. still not heating enough. please help. getting eggs mon. thanks tim

I had the same problem with a relatively new LG. I was furious. I couldn't return it because I had already hatched several dozen eggs in it. My problem happened with a incubator full of eggs!! Thankfully I had another incubator to put the eggs into.

I hope someone has a solution for you. I can't wait to get my Dickey in the spring! No more messing with these stryrofoam ones!

Good luck!

Laurie

I don't know much much about hovabators but my homemade incubator is affected by the room temperature. If it's not getting warm enough I can bump the AC down a notch and the incubator temps comes up a bit too.

This could be bad on several levels.

First,the temperature needs to be 100,so you'll get day-25 hatchers,if any.

Second,I might be hatching soon

My Last Hatch Was Bad. Couldnt Keep Temp Ajusted. Never Had This Problem Before. 6 Hatches Prior To This Last One. Going For A Thermostat Mon. I Would Put Them In My Big Home Maid Bator But Its Full. Thanks For The Replies And I Hope I Can Return The Favor Someday. Thanks Tim

Just a "stab-in-the-dark".....but you might check to see if there is any corrosion or rust on the wafer thermostat switch.... or perhaps it needs a new wafer....?
