I cannot live in the city. I prefer the country. . . . as much as I have that in rural Massachusetts. CHickens are very adaptable so if you can have a few in the city, go for it and teach others around you to appreciate a well taken care of bird.Oh my gosh, a real live FARM? I'm so jealous! LOL

As Donna said, it also comes with a big price. I have dogs to help keep the animals safe. ANd a huge feed bill. We are scaling down. THe cost of feed is killing any profits. ANd this year hay is being trucked to all the places that have had drought, leaving a much smaller supply in the northeast.
