Donna, the AM eggs you sent to me marked "B". Were those blacks? I have two of them pipped and a lav/split pipped. Four of the 8 eggs made it to lockdown, they are due today.

So far this morning, I've had two lakenvelders and a marans hatch. With a total of 12 eggs locked down (and one more that looked like a late quitter, but I left it in).

My last hatch until after vacation.................

Yes those are blacks. Good luck with them. I have 4 out this morning and the other one is pipped.

I HATE AUTO-CORRECT on my PHONE!

I think I will have 100% hatch on the BLRW the last one was zipping when I left the farm. All but one Black Am hatched. 5/7 White Wyandottes hatched so far

3/6 Marans and 1 was a SPLASH

I have never hatched a home grown Splash Marans

There must have been some pullet eggs in that batch, I didn't know, they were full size and good color

Today was hatch day so they may still hatch, but if they were pullet eggs maybe not......

Uh oh! I may be in trouble! My wife and I have come to the decision that one of us need to quit our jobs to stay home with our three kids. Daycare is too expensive making it pointless for both of us to work. My wife wants me to quite. What I am doing is just a job not a career. My wife is in a supervisor position that normally would require four years of school. She did not go to schooling for it. So anyways, now I will be at home all the time which I am afraid will lead to more eggs in the bator, mere swapping, and more chickens! :D

I did the same thing for a while many moons ago when my children were little. I made more money staying at home with them than I did working a forty hour week.
