Yeah, I would weed through all the chicks to pull out the ones for sale and they would always say "what is that? is it for sale too?" I am going to beat them at that game this year.... I hope I don't shoot myself in the foot.

Thanks im excited homemade incubator in a icechest styrofoam box and it was inly my second attempt my first attempt were inly 4 eggs

Good job, I'm so impressed! If you have a chance, please start a post on how you constructed your icechest incubator, and what you did during incubation. You are obviously very talented!

Haha thanks for the sarcazim , but for a beginner im happy with the reults , things ill do different next time is adjust my heat source closer to the water thermostat so i can have more of an even temp threwout the incubator

Wait, I'm sorry if that sounded sarcastic, I wasn't being sarcastic! I am impressed! Again, can you please, please, please, post details about your incubator?

I feel so badly....I'm sorry If I sounded sarcastic, I did not mean it. I am so impressed....so many of us buy very expensive incubators in hopes of getting your hatch rate....I want to learn from you. UGH....I am going back to my post to see what I said....I was not sarcastic. On the contrary, I am extremely intrigued by your ingenuity.

I didnt mean to jump the gun but since im a true beginner when it comes to homemade incubators , and since i only incubated a few eggs 7 i didnt think you were serious about my set up lol i usually hen hatch, my set up is simple ill try and make a write up the ice chest im using was bought at target for about 7.99

That would be great. Maybe one of these days I'll try to make one myself. I'm not very skillful, but my husband is.
