Once you have a separate hatcher.... life gets so much easier...... Staggered hatch make for continual hatching

With staggerd hatches does it matter howany different breeds/ eggs from different days you add in the incubator i mean maybe add them in groups of 4-5 eggs not 1 at a time lol

That would be great.  Maybe one of these days I'll try to make one myself. I'm not very skillful, but my husband is.

To be honest i just mimicked a lot of different treads on home made incubators
1 about the wireing the thermostat with the light , the fan what people used for heat sinks ect. If i where to male a copy of my original incubator coast would be around 70-80 depends if i put a fan in the hatcher

you can add whatever you want that way, but i might recommend not adding them day after day, but maybe in weekly groups. i try to leave at least 5 days between groups so i can clean the hatcher between hatches.

That is a good. Idea well now to wait or the hens to lay more eggs :) to try to hatch more chicks

I'm debating between buying another ecoglow 20, ($70) a small sweeterheater ($75) or building my own brooder-heaters using plastic coated wire shelving and flexwatt. anyone have a thought or two?

The flexwatt sounds interesting. I am going to attempt to make an Ecoglow type device next month. I found a rubber mat for fairly cheap that is meant for putting next to your door to put wet shoes on to dry them out. I am going to mount it to a frame with adjustable legs and test it to see if it will hold correct temperatures. It will only cost me about $30 to make, so I figure it is worth a try. If all else fails, I end up with a nice foot warming mat to use while knitting.
