I have done that myself!! It can be done but the problem is if you need to turn the eggs of one batch when the others are hatching. I only do it either on accident, lol, or one or two days apart.I haven't figured out how to start my own post, so please forgive me for cutting it. U gave a question. I am on day 15 of my first incubation, and they are jersey giants. The shells are very dark and I unable to see much if anything. I thought they were all duds until today when I dropped one while candling. I see that it had a baby inside. Has anyone been able to start two different batches of eggs at different times in one bator? Does the lockdown period prohibit this?![]()
another one hatched i also got some feed its purina start and grow medicated sun fresh is this good it says for chicks from day 1 to 18 to 20 weeks its a bit big but i can crush it. # chicks are so far 2 days of a ge and one hatched today when should i give this.
i hatch weekly, just about, but i also have 3 incubators and a dedicated hatcher. this keeps the mess strictly in the hatcher, which i sterilize between batches of chicks.I haven't figured out how to start my own post, so please forgive me for cutting it. Leave it in the hatcher until it dries completely off and heals up. That sounds like the yolk sack. Any that still have anything hanging off them should be left in the hatcher until completely healed. The older chicks will peck at it if you move it... leave it in there.
