Quote: I can close off a couple rooms and a hallw ay connect ing the 2; then put an AC in one room and keep incubator in the other room. THe AC decreased the humidity ( don't ask me how) and yet doesn't interfere with the temps of the incubator in the other room.
Humidity has arrived here. I'll be shutting off the incubators for a while if this keeps up.
Have you looked at the air cells??? 45-50% is on the high side and the air cells may not be large enough yet. I woul suggest looking at the air cells and if they are still small , drop the RH for the next few days, until first external pip. I have use fans and AC to speed up moisture loss.If my eggs are at 15 day, what should the humidity be? I've been staying in the 45-50% range. I lockdown on Sunday.
I will be an addict when I can find an incubator lol
Good luck with your hatch.Pips! YAAAAAY!!!Of course, one of the silkie eggs is pipped at the wrong end. Ugh. Must. Keep. Hands. Out. The most exciting part for me? I'm pretty sure one of my marans eggs is pipped. OH HOW I HOPE IT HATCHES AND IS A PULLET! Need to go feed the fat little meaties and peek under the silkie to see how she's doing with her 5.![]()
I refuse to answer how many incubators I have on the grounds I may incriminate myselfBeware...it's very addictive. I stared off with 1 bator. Then, had to have another cause there was no room for the extras. Eventually, I had to get a third. I told my husband that every order of eggs I get in has extras. I can't just do away with them. Looking for bigger fourth. Lol.
