Incubators Anonymous

Congrats!

I'm new to incubating, and have just survived my first hatch, so am not in a position to give tips. But I will encourage you.

I just ordered an incubator. Should be here tomorrow. I am very excited. Any pointers you want to pass along?
Just got a small one. A Mini Advance. Want Swedish Flower eggs. But seem hard to locate.
grats on the mini, but beware, it will be too small to be overly useful if you really want to hatch. LOL

no way I can set less than 10 eggs at a time. unless I don't have that many, then I find more of something else to make up the difference.

as for SFH, have you checked out the sfh thread? that might be a good place to start. the second suggestion is adding a location to your profile. the less eggs travel the better for those potential chicks.

I just arrived in the Philippines. Eggs in tact and through customs without drama.

Chicken quail pheasant guineas and turkey go into the bator tonight.

Yesterday we had a hatch. We set 32 eggs. 8 were clear at 10 days and all 24 fertile eggs hatched. This bodes well for my imported eggs as Bernie has mastered local egg incubation.

I just purchased 100 chicks from Signature Poultry and their gorgeous and healthy. Anyone who is need of some beautiful sliver laced wyandotes let me know .
I have a few I can sell.

you might be better off posting on the Wyandotte thread... most of us here are shopping for eggs to hatch. LOL

never heard of signature poultry... where are they located? is it a hatchery or breeder?
