I was looking for cat or dog carriers at the thrift store and my mother asked me why I wanted them, I don't have a cat (any more) and only one dog. I said.. chickens!

this!

Ok incubating people, question. I'm hatching 80 shipped eggs for a customer. I weighed a few so I can checheck humidity and they all lost a little too much weight so i'm upping the humidity. BUT.. it was not the same too much. How do you decide what egg to listen to? they are all the same type of egg so its not that, but man that was annoying!

I would do "averages" instead of using a single egg. I think our higher humidity outside might help with that too

I concur.

Its rather tricky though with shipped eggs because of the attrition rate with first candling.

I will average 24 eggs. I keep the clears in that set all the way unless they turn into stinkers.

ok, I'll average the % lost. It wasn't terribly out of the way. If we have a few that go way out of whack Ill move them to another bator. But I did not weigh 80 eggs, just about a dz and then placed them strategically. This is the first set i've had loose too much weight!

Lychy trees OMGosh love Lychy Any chance i can buy seeds ?
Hi Tammy,

actually the trees we use are not grown from seed they are made by Air Layers (basically
you use a branch of the parent tree and force it to grow roots then you cut it off and plant
the end)..

I am planning some air layers and would be happy to save you one when they are done, but
i am not sure it would grow in Oregon?? maybe you could persuade it to grow indoors in the
winter in a pot. There is just a tiny part of the US that is suitable for Lychee..

you will see on page 7 the info you need to propagate them, and where they will grow
