Incubators Anonymous

I was think of investing in an incubator with all the bells and whistles. should I go for a Brinsea or an Rcom. I want something that controls the humidity. I have had a hard time with it in my styro incubator.

I have 3 GQF cabinet incubator's, one is over 14 years old and still works like a champ.
And 1 GQF Hatcher, and 2 styro Hova-Bators that are about 5 years old that I hatch nothing but waterfowl in. They all work great.
I bought a Brinsea, used it twice and sold it, I hated it. But that is just me I know people swear by them.

i bought an Rcom a few months ago -- it unfortunately was malfunctioning, would not get up to a proper temperature, but the company was great about getting a replacement out to me, and it worked like a charm for my first hatch. looking forward to filling it up again soon, hopefully next week...

I have come to the conclusion my incubator does not turn off. LOL

I said that too and then my favorite sweet cochin got sick from a scorpion sting so HAD to put some of her eggs in the bator today just in case she doesn't make it.

Thank you. Me too. She hasn't eaten in a day, but somehow, even though she can't hold up her head - she laid an egg again today. I'm giving her water with a syringe to keep her hydrated. At least I've got a part of her in the incubator if she doesn't make it.
