This is my bator, very basic
 
Cooler-bators work well. (Often keeps temps better than the Styrofoam.)

Once your hatch is done, you may want to add a viewing window. (Watching them hatch is a big part of the addiction!) You can get a piece of plexiglas from an old pic frame, garage sale, resale shop, etc. cheaper than the hardware store.
 
I'm on day 12 for the first batch and day 3 for the two Silkie eggs (they transporter separated the hen from the eggs, they look ok put them in the bator to give them a chance)

I'm hoping the Silkie eggs are fertile not sure if the hen was with the roo, I really hope so she has gorgeous chicks.

These two came with her she hatched them herself the black one is 4 days the light one is 4 weeks old the breeder did not want to separate this happy little family.
