so hatch on the 20th? you're a day ahead of me. 8)... oh wait. lockdown for me in 8 days. so you're 2 behind me LOL.

of the 51 eggs i started with, 4/5 of the marans were scrambled, that 1 left is a big ??, 18 of 21 Dorkings are doing well, and 10/14 EE's. and 8/11 bantam mutts. so thats... 37 so far... lol same #s. maybe we should play the lotto.

edited because i can't count... LOL. hubby's having a conniption justabout. 8)

got my trio of dorkings today. i see potential in them. the roo has conformation issues, and 1 hen is smaller but more correct than the other. so there's room for improvement but i'm happy.

11 bantam mutts.

My favorite kind of mutts!!!!!

I'd like to admit that I have a problem but I really don't see it as a problem, doesn't everyone have 50+ chickens and an incubator full of egg at all times. I'm not sure what my DH is talking about when he say's "no more chickens until Spring" So does that mean no more chickens in general, no more chickens that I sneak in or jusst no more chickens coming in the mail ???? He didn't say anything about eggs, I can still bid on those right??

lockdown in 7 days for me now...

as for humidity, humidity in the house is about 55-60%, but the 'bators continually read 25-30%. (doing a dry incubation) why does it drop so much? if anything i would think it would be higher since eggs lose moisture too. (but not worried about the eggs, they're on schedule for water/weight loss.)

I'd like to start off by saying that I have absolutely no problem 200+ quail eggs and 78 chicken eggs in the incubator & 125 quail and 23 chicken eggs in the hatcher is just a hobby.

ok i'm just curious... what do you DO with all those quail? i used to have button quail as pets but they never laid eggs for me, or if they did someone in the aviary was eating them...
