also, consider how much gas you'll burn driving that hour... at least another $10-15 with an average vehicle. (hubby also says plus your time to take off doing other things. what's your time worth?)

Well I have more babies still to hatch. I also have ten geese eggs that my male turkey was sitting on still to hatch as well.

Good point on the age of the styrofoam! I guess I will pass on this one. Driving wise, it's about the same as getting my boys to a soccer game. Not sure what my time is worth! Always too much to do and never enough time, and I don't get paid for it. LOL

Did you pay $100 each or total, including shipping?

Okay my SIS brought me some eggs that one of her wjite leghorns is sitting on. They look to be about 10 days incubation. She told me that she thoought they were leghor/ silver dutch bantam or orp. cross. So I gues I'll have some really cute mutts running arounde.

Tomorrow I promise! I have 1 Blue Copper Marans, 1 Black (?) Copper Marans, 7 productions in the brooder, 3 more still drying but are nasty with crud. 4 rocks in the brooder and 1 lav that pipped died, 1 lav is out but not doing great. The other 3 lavs have not pipped. 1 Dark Brahma is out one more pipped. There are 4 more marans eggs in the hatcher but not pipped

Not my best hatch but they are not my eggs either. All but 1 of my eggs have hatched and survived this hatch. I can't say that for the other eggs

My fingers are crossed for you. I know how hard it is to wait. I have 8 beautiful babies right now, two died trying to hatch out and 21 eggs yet to hatch on day 21. Not sure if they will hatch but I hope they do.

We can wait and pace the floor together lol.

I wish mine were further away but I have the weekend off and it's in the next room, so are the new babies and they tend to get loud so I have to check. When I check on them I have to check the incubator too. So far no activity but it is only day 21 maybe they will still hatch.

my total including shipping was like $105. for BOTH.
