IncuCube Bator

Thanks for your patience! We now have all of the Rev2 Egg Turners boxed and ready for shipment. They will be sent out tomorrow via USPS Priority Mail. Sorry the boxes aren't perfect again, we will get some custom boxes once this gets rolling. I will be sending an email with instructions on how to take the motor from your old turner and put it on the one that will be arriving.

We should have the IncuCube Rev2 ready tomorrow, for those who have been waiting.

Thanks,

Randy Pryor

randy, again thanks for the update....however this "fix" doesn't address the issue of the turner motors getting WAY too hot. I've run quite a few bators and turners in my time, and have never had a turner motor get as hot as this. when the motor get too hot to touch, it is dangerous, especially if children are helping incubate and like to be involved. I have checked the temp on the motor now with both a forehead thermometer from the dr's office, and an infrared temp gun, that I use to test my radio control racing engines..and these are both very precise units...I have read from 105-107F on this motor several times. It should NOT be running that hot.

As of right now all we have is more of the same motors that you already have. Our motor supplier has created a revised model of this motor and they are being produced right now. These motors come from China and so we just have to wait. If you'd rather wait for a new motor then let me know early today.

Thanks,

Looks Awesome! I just bought a Brinsea Oct 20 Eco with cradle turner for about $200 new...and I thought that was a GREAT deal! I would wait until they get the turner though...I was on the fence about whether or not to buy the "cradle turner" with mine and after seeing how MUCH it tilts the eggs and how OFTEN...there is NO WAY I would want to be committed to doing it manually! I would say wait for them to put out the turner and if you can't wait then get the Brinsea...it's been VERY SIMPLE! Blessings, Keri

Hello Again Everyone. Just thought I would update you on my success with the IncuCube for hatching. Today is day 21 for me with my eggs. This morning at 8:00 AM my daughter noticed 3 eggs that had pips. At 9:30 on had already zipped and poked his head out. Just so everyone is aware I used the turner the full time and took out during lockdown. So as of right now I have one hatch chirping like crazy and another one pipped, so I have for sure 5 chicks out of 11 that went in at lockdown. Not bad for eggs that were shipped over 1,000 miles in an incubator that is being tested. Wish me luck on the rest of my hatch. I will keep you updated on the rest of them.

good to hear...and congrats...I still have 4 more days just until LOCKDOWN. I have my incucube and brinsea side by side on my counter....Chukar eggs in the Brinsea and Cortunix in the Incucube...can't wait to see what happens.

One thing to remember, regardless of any incubator you use, you have to learn how to use it for the room you are in and the season you're hatching in. Local variables can and do make a big difference.

Did you just use the 5 cups provided or did you have to add more water to the bottom, and if you did howe did you do it?

Marymac, I filled all 5 cups full of water at lockdown. I do have an aquarium hose with a bowl with a sponge in it. I was able to get humidity up to 65% without the extra sponge so I didn't use it.
