I noticed that I had to have the tray of mine completely full of water, to the point of the eggs being wet to get the humidity gauge to register correctly. I spoke to the guy who helped design this, and he's sending me a new humidity gauge. His comment to me is that the outer loop should be sufficient until lockdown. I have to say that I ran my Incuview for 2 days empty to test, and the gauge wasn't malfunctioning at that point.

I was thinking this may be a possibility as well since we do get so much condensation build up when we put the plug in yet the humidity doesn't seem to go up much. After switch the base 180 tonight and it doesn't make a difference I will contact them. Thanks for all the suggestions!

Now that you folks have your lids and bases lined up, mark them, so you'll not have the same issue in the future! Happy hatching. I expect to be joining in the hatching effort soon. Setting eggs around 3/21.

Wondering the same thing! Not that my Pilgrims are laying yet, or maybe they are, who can tell in all this snow! Trying to decide between an IncuView and just building a coolerbator of some kind. Have an IncuKit sitting here I haven't put in anything yet due to no time.

Going into lockdown tonight! Getting ready to candle and put the protector screen thing over the fan. Hubby cut out little squares to hopefully increase the circulation! We will see! I will update how many will be going into lockdown.

All 11 are locked down. I saw a bit of movement in every single egg!!!

As of today I have already seen two of the eggs wobbling around!

I marked the air sacs on the eggs on day 7, 14, and 18. two of the eggs are externally pipped above the marked lines. Is that normal? or ok?

Also, my humidity is sitting pretty steady at the halfway mark in the hatching section. I believe, correct me if i am wrong, once the eggs start to hatch the humidity goes up. Any thoughts on if this is ok? Or should I try to bring it up?

However I am impatiently sitting on my hands!

They should pip into the air cell, so that is good. Is there a number attached to the "half way" section? Most folks aim for 65% at lock down or pip.
