This post was not aimed for you, someone else said you could calibrate it for a colder room----I was telling them if it was running 100% on the heater---its doing all it can do. I am glad you are getting it figured out.

The towel on the bottom does not help to hold heat in----the towels draped across it would act like insulation. Good Luck!
the incuview has a proportional thermostat, so the level of heat is variable as it gets up to temp and instead of off and on heat it will adjust by percentages to help maintain optimum temp at all times. The factory set calibration is for 70-80° rooms as stated in manual. As she stated her room was several degrees below optimum and she hadn't changed the calibration for that temp room. If that had been done the temp may very well have been able to keep up. I have run mine in a 65° room NP. I just wanted to reply for those who have this incubator or are considering it that it can run below the optimum settings with proper adjustments. I have not tested it lower than 65° so I cannot comment how low it could go. The incubator warehouse has a blog page with alot of info about adjustments and also their customer service has been excellent in any inquiries I have made.

Do you mind coping/pasting or directing me to where it talks about calibrating for room temp----I can not find it.

this is in the manual, an example of what you have to change for adjusting for lower or higher room temps. The link I provided was to assist owners/ potential owners with more info on how the incubator works. Being that the incuview is factory set for room temps of 70-80 it is no wonder it is running perfectly now that it is located in a room within that range.

Just for information----From what I know from experience with this same control in 2 of my cabinets--- this chart is how to set-up the proportional thermostat for different room temperatures and has nothing to do with increasing the heat for colder rooms. If your room is 64 degrees and the heater is doing 100% and the incubator is 95----its doing all it can do. The room is to cold.

Okay! I've been running the Incuview for four days (and nights) and done a bunch of calibrations. I had planned to set eggs yesterday but in this single-digit cold snap, I've lost eggs. At current rates, I should be able to set them tomorrow!

The summary is this: with my room temp held steady right at 70-71, the factory settings for the Incuview hold the temp perfectly at 99.5 right below the fan. In the corners, it seems like it might be slightly higher.

Humidity has been easy to adjust using water in the wells. In MY room, I find that I need to add water every 3-4 days.

Can't wait for tomorrow!
