Really? Hmm thanks for saying that cause I never realized that all silver pieds are white eye. I have a question I have been wanting to ask about pieds and silver pieds...If you had a pair and they had similar markings, would their peachicks have markings in about the same place as their parents, or is it totally random and it doesn't matter what the parent looks like. Can't you select specific pied or silver pied birds with say less or more color in the train and breed for that so that most of the peachicks you will get will have those markings that you are looking for? Just wondering. It would be soo cool if someone could breed a peafowl with an all white body and the train was the only thing that was colored or vice versa.

you need 3 genes for silver pieds.....white, pied, and white eye.

pied are neat ,because most are all different.

When picking out pied or silver pied chicks, remember the train feathers , come off the back, not tail feathers, so look for peachicks with yellow on their back if you want ones with white in the train.
