Do pure india blue Peacocks and hens have white on there wings.
I have 3 hens with no white on wings.
Then I have a male and a hen with white on there wings. Does this
mean they carry the white gene and can throw whites?????

No white on pure IB.
Yes. They are Dark pied or split to white.
So breeding them together you will have a chances of a white chick.

If they are dark pied, you should be able to breed them to pure whites and get regular pied chicks.

Anyone know the outcome of breeding a dark pied to a pure IB?

i have pure ib's but never put them with the one's with white

I would guess you could get either.... but that's a guess I'm new at this.

If you breed a Dark pied to a Pure IB. You can get IB with white pri. feathers, white neck patch. or a bird that looks like a Pure IB with no white.

Yeah Blackbird is right if they are Dark Pied. You can breed them to a white and get all Pied chicks.

I just looked up images and they look more like india blue split to white.
I don't think they have enough white on them to be dark pied..... I never thought of the split to white.

The white chick thats on my other post is a chick I got from the two ib with the white on the wings.

Thanks Bigbyrd! I have a Dark pied OR split white male (not sure which) and IB hen.

If he's split to white, and I breed to a pure IB then what is the outcome?
