I need nuggets for my broody on dud eggs. I had 4 broodies and 3 of them have new nuggets but candling tells me that my 4th broody is on duds. She wants peeps of her own. Does anyone have any day olds near me? She could handle 3-4 bantams but only a couple of full sized birds because she is a teeny rosecomb bantam

I don't think she will accept older peeps. I've had luck introducing chicks when they were less than 5 days old but any older and it just doesn't work.

I know. It is the wrong time of year for this but my teeny girls are determined to be moms. One is a Silkie x Bantam EE, one is a OEGB, one is a bantam Cochin, and my last one is a rosecomb. The Silkie Cross is over a year old but the others from the first week of Chick Days and are only a little over 7 months old. I suspect I will be fighting them on brooding for a long time.
