Hi everyone

We have 5 baby ducks (Indian Runners) and 2 more hatching right now. There might even be another 3, the 5 that have hatched did it over 3 days, so you never know. Anyway, was wondering what people give their babies for vitamins. I know with my chicks I always give them the stress-aid powder. Someone at the feed store said not to give it to ducks unless they are failing to thrive. Thoughts? Advice?

Also the two that hatched today are still in the incubator because I didn't want to open it with the other two in the zipping phase, and they keep eating the leftover yolk sacs. Is this bad for them?

thanks for your help!

Left over yolk sac from whom? that is what they live off of for the first few days after hatch. I give a product called Nutri Drench to my ducklings and chicks for about a week after hatch, their mamas get it too. It says it can be given to all classes of poultry and at day 1 you just add to their water and can be given straight into their mouths if one is having problems, Hopefully not in your case.I like to give my hatching as good a start as possible and feel this helps,. Congrats on the great hatch, and
