Indian Runner Ducklings Raspy Voice or Sick?

My boys went through a stage where they sound like a frog in the throat
Now the drake sound is more defined
Still raspy but different then as teens

Yeah that sounds exactly like what’s going on. I left for 2 days on a trip recently, came back and their voices had changed. It was very noticeable to me but not so much to my boyfriend who had stayed with them. Sounds like they are going through puberty!

I totally understand the ducks in the house as the duck house isn’t ready lol
But I have 16 of them
They have their own bedroom in the basement I use a tarp on the floor and shavings
Our duck house is built , insulated but the yard around it isn’t ready yet
Lots of stuff to clean up to make sure they are safe

Lol. Yes I am very protective as well. The garden walls are built, strong and ready. Planters still need to go in as well as their pool/pond, and I’ve been looking at large weather proof dog houses to get them, add straw and going to be throwing a net over the hole thing because we have hawks in the area. Do you have Indian runner ducks?

Blue , silver Swedish
And suppose to be blue x silver Swedish but one of her ducks is carrying a buff gene so 3 of mine have buff in them

Oh that’s so fun!! Ducks have been a lot of fun so far. Since I think both my guys are males, should I get them girlfriends or do they do fine without? I know they can get aggressive towards each other.

Some people hsvd all drake flocks and they do just fine
If you did add girls you would need at least 6 but better to have 8-10
Depending how many ducks you want
I sold a lady 5 drakes
She knew they were all boys
So far they are great
She doesn’t plan to add girls to the mix
