My daughter has been pestering me to get Indian Runners. We had Pekin before but only had a kiddie pool for water. She claims IR's don't need water for swimming. Anybody know about this breed?

they do need water for swimming. All ducks do. My indian runners love playing in their kiddy pool. They are very beautiful ducks though. They are also very tame.
Indian Runners love to swim. I always used kiddie pools and they seemed fine with it.
All ducks thrive with water to play in.

The runners love the water, but will make do nicely with a kiddie pool. Mine do fine that way.
