Anybody raise button quail in central Indiana? I kept them as a kid and would love to get a couple pairs for my kids.

Try to PM GrandmaBird if she doesn't chime in here. She's our resident button quail guru on BYC. She may be able to find you a breeder. Also check the buy sell trade here on BYC.

anyway I can check on finding some buttons in Indiana but the best thing would be to buy hatching eggs and do it your self. You need not buy a ton of expensive stuff but do be prepared to handle the chicks in the right way. Either way it is best to learn first then buy either birds of eggs. Let me know if I can be of further help and I will see if I can find anyone in Indiana with birds. Have you tried craigslist? or other such places in your area. You can ask at the farm supply store too they might have someone who has quail and even buttons.

I hatched and raised them as a kid, but do not have incubator now. Found a local guy, but he doesn't have any to sell right now. Finishing the basement and trying to get my native fish tank ready and a few birds. I always liked the button quail better than doves, cockatiels, and parakeets. I'm afraid if had an incubator I would hatch too many birds and get the wife mad at me.
