Ha, I u-tubed "chicken hypnotized". I will teach my 6 yr old this afternoon how to do it.

There are several ways. For a kid it would be easiest to lay the chicken on its back and make a line in the dirt with your finger from the beak straight out fast. They watch your finger and then stare at the line.

I tried it, but I think I didn't do it long enough or they were distracted. I'll have to try again. I showed my husband the youtube videos... he just sat in awe.

One video showed a boy tucking the chickens head behind its wing and then gentley rocking it back and forth until it went limp and asleep. I will have to try different ways and see which one my girls fall for.

Mr. Peeps tried to attack me today. I gave him a good kick and stomped after him. He quit, but then later went after my daughter when she was feeding them peas. I grabbed her arm just in time. He jumped at her face, and she was cornered in the doorway. I told her not to trust him anymore, and kick hard if he comes after her. She seemed to get it, we'll have to practice. If he gets worse, I just won't let him out of the run. I wanted chicks from him, so I need him around. :/

carry a garden hoe. chase the roo around a few times with the hoe even tap the roos back. Even let your girl chase the roo. and yelling like a bunch of crazy teenagers sure helps too. ohh my roos are scared of tin cans being gently tossed at them. get into a routine after about a week that roo will treat you like an alpha. Also try freaking out on the roo if it tries to show dominance over any of your children. I was given my 2 RIR because they were not nice or quiet. Well I like the noice and now they don't attack anyone.

One thing I will not put up with is an aggressive animal (chicken, dog, cat, etc). While I liked the last roo I had, he ended up making a pretty tasty meal because he kept attacking me when I turned my back to him. It didn't matter how hard I kicked or how big I made myself, he never learned.
