Our coop is set at a SW facing angle. So the windows face SW. It must have been the sunshine. I went out at 5 to close up the coop and it was 27 in there with 16% humidity again. I had to change a hen apron on one of the girls. I panicked because it had blood on it. I looked all over her and couldn't find a wound, then I looked at Gus' feet when he was roosting and he had dried blood on his legs. He has a broken toenail. Man those things can bleed! Its dried out now, so I think he will be fine, but it scared the crap out of me.Wow! That's an amazing temperature difference. What side (N,S,E,W) are your windows on?
Brownies and cake baked with my chickens eggs, yummm. Speaking of eggs, I cracked on today in my pocket! Not fun.
Ya, I crouched down to move a block of ice (2 eggs in my jacket pocket) so that I wouldn't trip over it later and they cracked. At least it was in a barn jacket.Haha...I've done that several times. Put one in while I'm out there doing other things and forget it's in there.![]()
Ha,I have never put any in the laundry hamper before. I do get blamed for all the kleenexs (not sure how to spell that) that are found. They are never used, I put one in my pocket in the morning an later forget about it when I need it so then locate another kleenex and it then gets thrown away, leaving the other in pocket to get washedMy husband does most of the laundry and he finds them in my pockets fairly often. He is not amused.
Quote: Ugh am guilty of both. Cold air my nose runs. and the day I don't carry the basket out I have eggs! Quail eggs are the worst, they mush pretty easy![]()
